The City is soliciting Bids for play equipment replacement and site work at various parks. Playground #1: Milliken Mills Park Central 4375 14th Avenue Playground #2: Milliken Mills Park East 4375 14th Avenue Playground #3: Milliken Mills Park West 4375 14th Avenue Playground #4: Benjamin Marr Park 28 Cornell Common Road Playground #5: Bruce Boyd Parkette 32 Country Ridge Drive The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: - Temporary fences; - Removal & stockpiling of existing sand surface; - Removal & disposal of rubber safety surface (one location); - Removal & disposal of existing play equipment; - Coordination for supply and install of new play equipment; - Place back of stockpiled sand safety surface; - Installation of new rubber safety surface (one location); - Asphalt, concrete and drainage work (one location); - Site restoration; and - Coordination of CSA inspections. The scope of work may also include, but is not limited to, the following provisional items: - Removal and stockpiling of existing sand safety surface in parking lot; - Supply and install engineered wood fiber (EWF)* safety surface; and - Supply and install concrete entry ramps. *EWF - engineered wood fiber mulch: ASTM F 2075; containing no bark, leaves, twigs, or foreign or toxic materials; tested for accessibility according to ASTM F 1951, IPEMA certified. All the Work is expected to start no later than May 1, 2022 and be completed by July 15, 2022 ("Contract Time") unless otherwise specified in the Contract.
