Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,414-square-foot office development; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Scope of Work of the Contract includes construction of improvements including a small restroom building, expansion of existing parking lot, sidewalks, repair of existing irrigation and sod. Only check or money order will be accepted. A Cashier's Check or Bidder's Bond Payable to Harris County M.U.D. No. 361 in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid submitted, outlined in the Contract Documents, must accompany the Bid. Bidders must have at least five years of confirmed experience on comparable size projects of a similar scope in the Houston Area. The successful bidder receiving contract award must furnish Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) each of the total Contract price. Each such bond shall be executed by a corporate surety duly authorized to do business in the State of Texas. The winning bid is decided not by low price but by this standard: "The responsible person or persons that, in the Board's judgment, will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the District's proposed improvements." The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive bidding informalities.
