Renovation of a power facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
SMUD is requesting bids to establish a contract with a single switchgear supplier to support SMUD personnel in the design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of replacement switchgear assemblies at Robbs Peak, Union Valley and Loon Lake powerhouses. Design of the switchgears is anticipated to begin in quarter 4 2021 and delivery will take place at mid-year 2022 for all facilities. SMUD will install the replacement switchgears at these facilities in Fall 2022 and Fall 2023. The principal objective of this procurement is the vendors ability to deliver quality switchgear assemblies to SMUD in an expeditious and efficient manner at the most economical overall cost to SMUD.
