Experience working with a design team prior to completion of construction drawings will be a significant part of the selection process. The selected contractor will work closely with Lionakis, their design team and the City of Sacramento to develop a project that meets the City's objectives in quality and scope within the budget and schedule. The contractor will be required to competitively bid all sub-contractor services for this project. A successful candidate will have experience coordinating and constructing projects in and around state waterways, as well as organizing, implementing, and maintaining aggressive construction activities. The selected firm will be required to execute a contract with liquidated damages for failure to complete phases of the work within scheduled deadlines. A successful candidate will provide constructability / schedule reviews and assist in the purchase of long-lead items. The selected firm will provide pre-construction design support services to be further defined in this RFQ and at time of contract negotiation. The cost of those services shall be included by completing the Pre-Construction Services Fee and Hourly Rates Form, for preconstruction services.
