The Fort Correctional Facility (FDCF) is a medium security prison. Construction began in October 1996 and the facility opened April 1998. The facility is located on 60 acres of land in southern Fort . The intent of this RFB is to identify a professional contractor to provide labor and materials and grade and pave the existing gravel walking path in accordance with the specifications listed in Section 4 and industry standards. The walking path is approximately 1500 feet long and 12 inches wide. See Exhibit A for walking path outline. 4.1.1 Purpose - The State of Iowa is seeking a Contractor to provide labor and materials andvgrade and pave the existing gravel walking path in accordance with the specifications listed in Section 4 and industry standards The Contractor shall: 4.1.1.1 Grade existing gravel. 4.1.1.2 Roll and compact existing gravel. 4.1.1.3 Place 4 inches of asphalt. 4.1.1.4 Roll and compact new asphalt. 4.1.1.5 Safety-edge new asphalt in accordance with Exhibit B Iowa DOT Standard Road Plan PV-3. 4.1.1.6 Clean-up. 4.1.1.7 Project completion by no later than May 30, 2022. 4.1.2 Equipment/Materials - The Contractor shall provide all equipment/materials and ensure they are in proper working order. 4.1.3 Qualifications/Standards - The Contractor shall perform work in accordance with all federal and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.
