As of February 16, 2022, the project has been awarded, however, a notice to proceed has not been given and a timeline for construction has yet to be established. Work shall include the construction of street improvements, grading, installation of storm pipes, open drainage channels, drainage structures, and related appurtenances as described in the Contract Documents and as shown on the plans. Contract is to be awarded on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with procedure (i) of Section 2.2 - 4330 ofthe Code of Virginia. The bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim ofright to withdraw his bid within two business days after the conclusion ofthe bid opening procedure and shall submit original work papers with such notice. BIDDER'S attention is invited to the requirements of Section 54.1 of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration which specifies the following with regard to contractor licensure and registration by definition: Class A contractors perform or manage construction, removal, repair, or improvements when (i) the total value referred to in a single contract or project is $120,000 or more, or (ii) the total value of all such construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by such person within any 12-month period is $750,000 or more. Class B contractors perform or manage construction, removal, repair, or improvements when (i) the total value referred to in a single contract or project is $10,000 or more, but less than $120,000, or (ii) the total value of all such construction, removal, repair or improvements undertaken by such person within any 12- month period is $150,000 or more, but less than $750,000. The Project, of which the Work under the Contract Documents is a part, is generally described as follows: Furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, transportation, supplies, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the complete and satisfactory construction of the Wrightsville Community Infrastructure Improvements Project.
