Renovation and addition to a medical facility in Longueuil, Quebec. Working plans call for the renovation of a 45,360-square-foot medical facility; for the addition of a 205,200-square-foot, three-story above grade medical facility; and medical facility.
Expansion and renovation of the Charles-Le Moyne Hospital in the framework of the Maintenance and improvement program. The project consists of the construction of a new 19,000 m2 pavilion and the redevelopment of approximately 4,200 m2 of existing area to accommodate a new operating suite comprising sixteen operating rooms (eight general surgery rooms, six specialized surgery rooms, one hybrid room for vascular surgery, and one emergency room), a new medical device reprocessing unit, and a new intensive care unit. In addition, the project includes the acquisition and installation of a positron emission tomography (PET) scanner and the addition of a new MRI machine. The project aims to address the problems related to the current cramped and outdated facilities. TIMELINE: Working drawings are underway. Tender for the general contractor is anticipated in late summer/fall 2026. Note. The architectural firm Aedifica was awarded to provide services of an integrated design process facilitator.
