For the Spencer's Mill Site Redevelopment Project - Phase 2 Willow Street as described in the specifications and as shown on the contract drawings, including but not limited to improvements to Willow Street; including utility line replacements (water, sewer, storm), street improvements (asphalt paving, sidewalk, curbing), and related work. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. NOTE: Prospective bidders are hereby notified that they must have proper license in North Carolina under the state laws governing their trade. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina will be observed in receiving and awarding this contract. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina. Bidders must comply with the provisions of the N. C. Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. The City reserves the right to reject any proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the Contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the City. The Engineer for the project is The Lane Group of Galax, VA. Five Percent (5%) Bid Deposit Is Required and Must Be Sealed in a Separate Envelope and Attached to the Outside of the Envelope Containing the Proposal. The City Will Not Be Responsible for Full or Partial Sets of Contract Documents, Including Any Addendum, Obtained From Any Other Source. There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference for this project.
