Renovation of a multi-residential development in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
CityHousing Hamilton Corporation (CHH or CHHC) is replacing the emergency generators at 30 Sanford Avenue South ("Sanford") and 120 Strathcona Avenue North ("Strathcona") in the City of Hamilton. The Project scope of Work consists of the removal of the existing diesel driven emergency generators and the installation of replacements with new natural gas driven emergency generators. The demolition scopes of Work include the complete removal of all diesel fuel delivery and storage components. Sanford includes a new natural gas service and Strathcona includes modifications to the existing service. The scopes of Work further include the replacement of the engine exhaust systems, intake and exhaust louvres, automatic transfer switches, post indicating valves monitored by the fire alarm system, power distribution, and building modifications and restoration to suit the Work. Strathcona includes the removal of the existing diesel driven fire standpipe booster pump, complete with controller, fuel delivery and storage components. The scope of Work also includes the provision of a new electric fire pump package including jockey pump, controller, and a standpipe Fire Department Siamese connection.
