Site work for a mixed-use development in Minnetrista, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and bridge / tunnel.
Project was awarded to Urban Construction Co. in the amount of $242,714.75. Construction of approximately 1-mile long pedestrian trail across restored prairie landscape. Trail is Class V with short section of bituminous and a small culvert at trail connection to Dakota Rail Regional Trail. Base project includes fabrication of two laser-cut, weathering steel and stainless steel trailhead signs and other minor site improvements. Other site interpretation and decomposed granite trail surface bid as alternates. Site restoration of native seeding and erosion control and 1 year of warranty maintenance. Site Directions: MN State Highway 7 to Highland Road north 1 mile to Halstead Drive. East on Halstead Drive 0.5 mile to site. Site is on south side of Halstead Drive. Small parking area across from 8000 Halstead Drive. Project Identification: Six Mile Marsh Prairie Trail 7701, 7901, 8015 HALSTEAD Drive Minnetrista, MN 55364 The Project consists of site improvements to Six Mile Marsh Prairie Trail. The project's primary scope is a new asphalt and natural surface trail with entry signage through the existing prairie. Additional scope includes interpretive elements located at key moments throughout the trail.
