SCOPE
This section specifies anchor bolts complete with washers and nuts as well as powder
actuated fasteners. Unless otherwise specified, anchor bolts shall be hotdip galvanized or
type 304 or 316 stainless steel. CONTRACTOR shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The
Work is generally described as follows:
o Obtain all necessary permits
o Move on and off the project site
o Construct site work
o Furnish and install well pump and motor. Furnish second vertical turbine motor as a spare.
o Construct Well Head Pedestal and Well Pad
o Furnish and install above ground and below ground piping and appurtenances
o Furnish and install sodium hypochlorite feed, control and disinfection facilities
o Furnish and install Replacement Gate and Fence
o Furnish and Install diesel power standby generator set
o Complete modifications to existing Booster Pump Station
o Furnish and install electrical and control system wiring, conduits and appurtenances
At the District's option the following Add Alternate Work may be included in the scope of improvements
o Furnish and install automatic Control Gate
o Furnish and install precast architectural concrete wall system
o Complete repair of existing Booster Pump Station Roof The work includes furnishing and installation of line shaft driven well pump and 350
horsepower vertical turbine pump and motor capable of delivering not less than 2100 gpm of well
water at a total design head of 449 feet. The Contractor shall also furnish to the District a spare 350
horsepower vertical turbine motor. The scope of work includes construction of concrete well
pedestal and well pad, above ground and below ground piping, valves and fittings, sodium
hypochlorite feed pump, control assembly and piping, new control panels installed in existing
Skyway Booster Pump Station Motor Control Center to service new well pump motor, replacement
of existing standby generator with a new diesel powered generator set, together with diesel fuel tank
and modifications to the existing Skyway Booster Pump Station standby power room to include
exhaust louvers and air supply blower together with necessary electrical and control system wiring,
conduits and incidentals. Add alternate improvements include furnishing and installation of
automatic gate control, replacement of the existing perimeter fencing with precast architectural wall
panels and repair of the existing Booster Pump Station Roof. The work will be monitored by the
DISTRICT'S REPRESENTATIVE, KASL Consulting Engineers, Inc. together with their electrical
Subconsultant, Frisch Engineering, Inc.
