Failure to comply with this provision may result in disqualification of the Proposer, at the option of the City. Only that individual listed above, as the contact person, shall be contacted.Faith Lombardo, City Clerk The purpose of this bid is to establish a Lump Sum contract, with qualified contractor(s) to install new landscape and irrigation, maintenance/repair of the existing irrigation systems within the public right of way as indicated on the plans and specified contract documents and addenda contained herein. Installation shall include but not limited to, all labor, materials, equipment and permitting or other means to complete the scope of work. Bidders shall reply on the plans, contract documents and issued addenda in preparation of their bid. Installation of the landscape components of the plan shall be sequenced after the installation of the irrigation system. Contractor shall make accommodations to protect existing landscape, roadway and hardscape. No plant material materials shall be allowed without prior approval from landscape architect, owner and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The landscape should be maintained with written reports generated and provided to the owner during the guarantee period. o The Contractor shall conduct quarterly interim inspections of the landscape planting, at no extra cost to the Owner, during the warranty period to determine what changes, if any, should be made in Owner's maintenance program, including, but not limited to; irrigation, etc. All proposed changes shall be submitted, in writing, to the Owner. o At conclusion of the one (1) year warranty period the Project Consultant/Owner shall conduct a construction review with the contractor to determine the condition of the plantings. Plants that have died or, in the opinion of the Project Consultant/Owner, are in an unhealthy or badly impaired condition for reasons other than vandalism, "Acts of Providence", or documented neglect, shall be replaced by the Contractor without expense to the Owner. The irrigation system will provide irrigation requirements for the entire right of way of Wilton Drive for approximately one mile between the New River bridge (south project limits) to NE 26th Street (north project limits). The new irrigation system has been designed to augment an existing irrigation system to accommodate the proposed landscape improvements contained on the plans contained herein. The new irrigation equipment and modificationsto the existing system incorporate roadway construction (Wilton Drive/NE 4th Avenue lane elimination project) recently completed by FDOT. This solicitation includes the following Broward County certified County Business Enterprises (CBE) goal: 30% CBE Goal.
