The City of Wilton Manors (the City), is seeking proposals from qualified firms to institute and administer a False Alarm Reduction Program to enhance community safety and improve the efficiency of emergency response by minimizing the occurrence of false alarms. By fostering accountability among alarm system users, promoting the proper use and maintenance of alarm systems, and implementing effective deterrence measures, the program seeks to reduce unnecessary demands on police resources. By reducing the frequency of false alarms, this program contributes to the overall effectiveness of public safety services and promotes a safer, more secure environment for all members of the community. The City will have the option to extend at its sole discretion two (2), one-year (1-year) renewal terms for a maximum of five (5) years. The terms and conditions of the initial term shall apply during any renewal term, except that there shall be no further options to renew. The City reserves the right to modify the frequency of these reports, and the vendor shall comply. The vendor shall have the ability to proactively diagnose properties that have a high rate of false alarm incidents, and shall proactively work with these violators to educate them on their need to eliminate false alarm incidents. The threshold for the number of incidents that constitute this "high rate" shall be determined by the City.
