The county will award to the lowest responsible bidder that meets all requirements. The county reserves the right to reject all bids and to cancel bid if it is deemed to be in the public best interest to do so. The bidders offers and agrees that if this bid is accepted within 90 calanders days from the date of the bid opening, the bidder will furnish any or all of the items upon which prices are quoted, at the price set opposite each item, delivered at the designated points and within the time specified in the request for Quote. The scope of the work will be to fill a solution feature that has come to the surface in the lake at Lone Elk County Park. The solution feature is approximately 12 to 15 feet in diameter and 20-25 feet deep. The estimate yardage to fill the solution feature would be approximately 120 cubic yards. The fill material to be used will be a Controlled Low Strength Material "Flowable Fill". The Flowable fill to be specified will have a compressive strength between 150 to 300 pounds per square foot. The Flowable Fill will be such a strength that it can be excavated using mechanical excavation techniques. Prior to the start of the project the Contractor will submit detail information on the properties of the Flowable Fill to be used for approval by Department of Parks & Recreation. Subcontractor Goals for this bid are: MBE =24% WBE = 9.5%
