Isle of Wight County Schools is soliciting lump sum, sealed bids for the replacement of mechanical piping in the D Wing of Carrollton Elementary School. The project also includes some minor patching and repair work of walls, ceilings, and floor finishes where demolition was required for pipe replacement throughout this area of the existing building. The project is located at Carrollton Elementary School, 14440 New Towne Haven Ln, Carrollton, Virginia 23314. Any bid received after the above date and time will not be opened or considered. The bidder bears the burden of insuring that the bid is received in the Purchasing Office by the above date and time. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated date, time and location. Any award resulting from this solicitation will be issued to the successful bidder in writing and will be posted on the Isle of Wight County Schools Bid Board located at 820 W Main St., Smithfield, VA 23430 and electronically. A bid bond is required. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids, and other pertinent information are contained in the contract documents. The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Section 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
