Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Stratford, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work under this Contract generally consists of the Cooper site rehabilitation at 204 Downie Street in Stratford, ON. .1 Remove of all existing roofing felt/tar/sheeting and other misc. roofing material in Areas 1 and 2 (assume asbestos containing) hauling and offloading at Romeo Street landfill (received by the City at no cost). .2 Removal of wood plank roof decking in Areas 1 and 2, with sound material stacked/banded on contractor supplied hardwood pallets in Area 3, and rotted planks hauled and offloaded at Romeo St landfill (received by City at no cost) .3 Removal with care, of historic skylight frames and glass (if present) in Areas 1 and 2 with organized storage in Area 3. .4 Removal and replacement of all purlins in Area 1 only. .5 Installation of bracing in Areas 1 and 2. .6 Removal of lead paint, cleaning of steel in Area 1 only in preparation for application of primer/paint. Arranged hauling and disposal of old coatings at approved facility at contractor cost. Paint all steel with zinc rich in-organic paint as noted on drawings. .7 Clean site Construction shall start on the date of the City Engineer's written order to commence on or about January 24th, 2022. The Bidder shall complete the work within a time to be known as the "Time for Completion" of 80 Working Days.
