Site work for a water / sewer project in Genoa, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Includes services on the following streets: Holly Court, Jackson Court, Reid Road, Cooper Court and Watson Drive. The improvements include televising, cleaning, and partial lining (CIPP) of sanitary lateral. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond, payable to the City of Genoa for the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. All bidders shall note the following: (1) construction monies will be drawn from local funds on hand: (2) the successful contractor will be paid on a monthly basis according to the approved estimate of completed work: (3) the City strongly urges all contractors to employ the use of local subcontractors, suppliers, and trades as much as possible for this contract. Labor rates shall be in accordance with the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for the City of Genoa, DeKalb County, Illinois, and which are on file in the Office of the Department of Labor, Springfield, Illinois. Such rates shall be paid for all laborers, workman, or tradesman performing work under this contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids on each proposal, and to waive any information there in or to accept any proposal considered in the best interest of the City. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without written consent of the City of Genoa for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of closing of bids.
