Site work for a mixed-use development in Belleville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

All bids shall be submitted on the proposal form furnished and shall be delivered in sealed envelopes at the time and place specified with the envelope plainly marked: BID FOR: "Design, Supply, and Install Plansoen Playground Soccer Field, Belleville Township, Essex County, NJ". The Bid consists of the design, supplying and installation of the Plansoen Playground Soccer Field. Contract Documents for the proposed work, prepared by the Belleville Township Engineering Department, have been filed at the Township's Purchasing Department, 152 Washington Avenue, Belleville, NJ. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and the name of the work on the outside; addressed to Mayor and Council, Township of Belleville. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash or bid bond, payable to Belleville Township without any conditional endorsement as guarantee that, if the contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will, within ten (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any certified check or cash. Each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey guaranteeing that, if the proposal of the Bidder is accepted, they will furnish a Performance Bond in the face amount of the bid and the acceptance of the bid is contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27), P.L. 2004, c.57, and the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A.11-1 et. seq., the Local Public Contracts Law. Belleville Township reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid received, and to reject any and/or all bids as in its judgment may best serve the interest of the Township. The Township shall have a maximum of sixty (60) days from the receipt of bids to either accept or reject same. Belleville Township reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective Bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications or before awarding the contract. Proposals for this Contract will be accepted only from bidders who are properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the N.J. Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 105 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964.
