Renovation of an educational facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Division of Facilities Development, hereinafter termed DFD, hereby announces that it is advertising for bids from certified contractors for the above project. In general the work consists of: Installing supplemental brick anchoring system to stabilize the existing masonry façade of the Kenilworth east building. Recent investigations have found the masonry lacks ties between the cladding and the concrete structure, resulting in displacement The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsins prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal 48 Davis Bacon Act requirements.
