Renovation of an educational facility in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Fannin County School System (hereinafter referred to as FCSS), hereby solicits proposals from experienced Licensed Contractors (hereinafter referred to as "Proposers") in response to this Request for Proposal ("RFP") for Fire Escape Window Replacement. FCSS is seeking a licensed contractor proposer to provide the demolition and replacement of one fire escape window in each classroom for a total of 33 units in sizes that vary from 31 inches to 48 inches wide by 80 inches high. Provide supervision, material, labor, equipment, and other incidental items of cost to complete the following: * Furnish and install aluminum-framed egress windows and glazing as specified. * Furnish and install Break metal cladding as required where applicable. * Caulk interior and exterior perimeter of new windows * Touch up interior paint as required where applicable. * Debris removal and disposal, including dumpster fee for debris of this scope of work. Construction Shall commence on June 1, 2022, or before in agreement with FCSS and Contractor. Completion of work should be on or before July 15, 2022. Any inquiries regarding this RFP must be in writing (email preferred: ddanner@fannin.k12.ga.us) by the deadline November 4, 2021. FCSS will not respond to phone inquiries. Answers to questions as well as any amendments and clarifications will be posted Electronically A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond are required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Proof of Builder's Risk Insurance, All-Risk Insurance, General Liability Insurance and Workman's Compensation Insurance will be required with the Fannin County School System listed as an additional insured party. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Funds in the amount of 5% of the Bid Amount. This is a federally assisted project and is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act, which include Davis-Bacon and related acts. Laborers and mechanics employed by general contractors and subcontractors performing construction work on this project shall be paid wages at rates not less than the prevailing rates as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act. The prime contractor is responsible for the enforcement of wage compliance and support documentation for the duration of the project and may be held liable for wage restitution.
