The Middlesex County Utilities Authority (the MCUA) is soliciting Qualifications for Professional Design Services for an Advanced Anaerobic Digestion Facility at the Central Treatment Plant (CTP), through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process as more particularly described herein. Persons and/or firms interested in providing the identified services to the MCUA must prepare and submit Qualification Submissions (Submissions) in accordance with the procedures and schedules set forth in this RFQ. The MCUA will review Submissions only from those persons and/or firms that include all the information required to be included in this RFQ. The MCUA intends to qualify those Respondents for subsequent solicitation of a proposal, who possess the professional experience, expertise, and administrative capabilities to provide the proposed service as set forth in this RFQ The Authority is developing a scope of services for the design of an advanced anaerobic digestion facility and anticipates issuing a request for proposals (RFP) for Professional Engineering Services that effort in the fourth quarter of 2022. In advance of issuance of the RFP for Professional Engineering Services, MCUA is seeking to pre-qualify firms that may be interested in the design effort and have demonstrated experience in the design of similar facilities in the past. The qualifications shall be in a sealed envelope or boxed marked with the name and number of this RFQ as well as the name and address of the Respondent on the outside. Respondents must submit one (1) clearly marked printed original copy of their qualifications along with two (2) printed copies and one (1) Electronic copy in PDF format on separate USB (flash drive). Qualifications will not be accepted by Mail, facsimile transmission, and/or e-mail, after the due date for submission. All questions concerning this RFQ or the RFQ process shall be directed to Casey Furey, Project Manager, Middlesex County Utilities Authority at cfurey@mcua.com. The MCUA reserves the right, in accordance with law, to reject any Respondent that submits incomplete responses to this RFQ that is not responsive to the requirements of this RFQ. The Method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
