Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Provided recommendations from 2017 Park and Recreation Master Plan for Whitney Regional Park to include: New construction, updating and replacement of playground and walking trails/paths. Removal of old airport runway and replace with parking lot/green-space. Restore and replace aging infrastructure, concession building and restrooms, baseball, softball and soccer fields. Replacement of dry wells, irrigation, drainage, fencing, dugouts, field lighting, scoreboards. New construction for additional concession/restroom building. Add new tennis/pickleball courts. As December 15, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023 - 2028 CIP. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2024.
