Kennedy Ave from Chicago Ave to Michigan St Project DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of the furnishing and installation of all equipment, labor and materials for a streetscaping project including curb, sidewalk, and asphal Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must be accompanied by an Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, signed copies of Addenda (if issued), and satisfactory bid security, as set forth in the Project Documents. A certified or cashiers check payable to the City of East Chicago or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. Bid security may be retained by the Board for a period of not-to-exceed thirty (30) days for all bidders and not-to-exceed sixty (60) days for the Bidder given tentative award of Contract. The successful Bidder will be required to provide separate Performance and Labor and Material Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount. Bidders must be experienced in the construction of the type of facilities to be constructed under the contract for which a bid is submitted. Each successful bidder and any and all levels of subcontractors, regardless of tier, as a condition of being awarded a contract or subcontract, will agree to abide by the provisions of the City of East Chicago Bid and Award Criteria, the EEO Policy, and the local residency hiring ordinance, attached. Bidders shall complete Bid Form 96, Financial Questionnaire and provide Financial Statement as well as Indiana's Illegal Immigration Law, all to be submitted with their bid. Time is of the essence on this project and therefore the contracts will be processed and approved as soon as possible. The City of East Chicago reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Board deem it to be in the public interest to do so
