The 183d Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary for the Base Fire Suppression Repairs in Springfield, IL (Sangamon County). The current fire suppression system is in a state of disrepair and has not had any upgrades since its original construction. The tank itself has deteriorated from the inside and the antiquated diesel pump has reliability issues. The removal and replacement of this system is critical to the life/safety of the employees of the 183d Wing. Work of this contract comprises providing all materials, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to remove and replace the existing 125,000 gallon tank, associated piping, pumps, generators, boilers, and controls. All work will be accomplished as required to meet current codes and Air Force Instruction (AFI) requirements. The contract duration is 365 days after the notice to proceed (NTP). This project is set aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of $39,500,000. The magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
