For Track Resurfacing Work on the Ridgewood Campus The Ridgewood Local School District will be receiving bids for track resurfacing work on the Ridgewood Campus. Bids should be picked up in person to survey the project with the owners. Base Bid: 1. Drawing prepared by an Ohio Registered Surveyor or an American Sports Builders Assoc. certified track builder. 2. Remove existing rubberized surface from track, remove millings/debris and events and haul off site. 3. Prep milled surface for new overlay. 4. Apply 1.5" of 448 Type 1 hot mix asphalt 5. Sod removal (as needed) 6. Install black plexitrac lighting (or equal approved alternate) in the track and events prepared asphalt 7. Stripe track and events, per American Sports Builder Assoc. specs. 8. Add draining if necessary Alternates 1. Demo and reconstruct existing runways with 5' wide concrete 2. Remove and reconstruct existing Pole Vault area, High Jump area and Long Jump Sand Pit area. 3. Remove existing track asphalt to full depth, regrade and add to (if needed) existing stone and laser grade to meet exterior asphalt with 1% minimum slope towards the inside of the track. Additional detailed information will be provided within the bid packet. The paving and track surfacing contractor shall be a member of the American Sports Builders Association and have a certified track builder on staff. Prevailing wages IS applicable. The successful bidder is required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Labor and Material Payment bond from an acceptable surety in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum. The work provided will begin May 2022 (date approved by RLSD) and should be completed by August 1, 2022. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law.
