There is no engineer's estimate for this project. The City has set aside a budget of
$250,000 to $300,000 to complete this work The work is generally described as minor concrete repair and is located at identified locations in the City. The City is home to over 26,000 trees that are planted in parkways throughout the City; trees that have established root systems often causing sidewalks to lift and crack. The awarded contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, and temporary traffic control related to remove and replace damaged public concrete, including sidewalks, walkways, curbs and gutters, and drive approaches. The City has a list of locations for the CONTRACTOR to complete upon commencement of the contract, including over 30,000 square feet of sidewalk and over 4,000 square feet of drive approaches The City reserves the right to assign more or less quantities/work under the contract for the same unit price provided by the contractor in the Bid Form. The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request at Claremont Community Services Department City shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsible bidder as determined from the base bid. City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
