Site work and paving for a road / highway in Midland, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to either the lowest responsible bidder, or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the City of Midland. In determining the best value for the City of Midland, the City of Midland may consider the criteria enumerated in Section 252.043 of the Texas Local Government Code. The proposed work includes improvements to the roundabout at Thomason Drive, Beal Parkway, and Illinois Avenue in accordance with the drawings, notes, and specifications provided. Specifically, the proposed work includes erosion control, earthwork, concrete placement, irrigation and landscaping, and lighting. The work for Additive Alternate I includes improvements to the medians at Briarwood Avenue between Holiday Hill Road and Avalon Drive. Due to maintenance issues, the City of Midland wishes to remove the existing chat blend and river rock and replace with concrete sidewalk with boulders embedded into the 4" thick concrete. Excavation shall be to a depth of 4" below the existing curb. All traffic control necessary for the completion of the Thomason Drive Roundabout Improvement project shall be provided by the City of Midland.
