**As of March 23, 2022, project was awarded to Waller Construction, but awarded amount is not available.** Bids shall be enclosed within a sealed envelope with the words "Sealed Bid - ITB 22-001 HARDEE LAKES SPLASH PAD" and the Bidder's name to be clearly marked on the outside thereof. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened. The work of this contract generally consists of construction of the Hardee Lakes Splash Pad in Hardee County, Florida. The Contractor shall tie into the existing 4-inch water main on the site, construct the valving and backflow prevention and run a 3-inch watermain to the existing bathroom building as shown. On the westerly side of the bathroom building, construct a 4-inch concrete pad, 6 ft. vinyl chain-link fence and shed roof to house the aquatic equipment. There, he shall construct the distribution manifold and connect to the power supply. The individual water mains shall be run around the existing septic tank drain field to the site, where the splash pad, site furniture, landscaping, fencing, signage, sidewalks, handicapped spaces, earthwork and drainage shall be constructed. The project shall include construction of the retention area to the east, where the borrow for the play mound shall be obtained. Upon completion of the project, all disturbed area shall be sodded, and the site area shall be left in a neat and clean condition. All workmanship and materials shall be in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and Hardee County requirements. The Bid Bond, Public Construction bond and specified insurance are required to be secured from or countersigned by an agency of the surety or insurance company, which agency shall have an established place of business in Florida and be duly licensed to conduct business therein. The County reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid; to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause; to adjust the quantities for budgetary purposes and/or to accept the bid that is judged to be in the best interest of the County.
