PER CITY OF GARLAND SPECIFICATIONS This project consists of tubular steel structures associated with complete reconstruction of the GP&L 138kV College-Brand Transmission Line as well as portions of the College-Jupiter and Fairdale-Plastipak Transmission Lines. Bids for conductor, hardware, and construction of the transmission line are being issued separately from this tubular steel structure bid. Forty-seven (47) new tubular steel transmission structures are proposed. All new structures will be self-supporting and utilize either a direct embedded or drilled shaft foundation. The structures are generally required to support one (1), three phase (future) circuit of 1926.9 ACSS\TW "CUMBERLAND" transmission conductor consisting of one (1) wire per phase. The line will also accommodate one Centracore CC-57/465 Optical Ground Wires (OPGW), variable numbers of three phase ACSR 477 "HAWK" distribution underbuild circuits, one 4/0 neutral circuit, and miscellaneous underbuilds, all as shown in the plans and details. Miscellaneous steel components for field modification of several existing structures are also included in this contract and shall be furnished in accordance with the project details.
