The City of Mississauga's Property Standards By-Law (654-98), and Nuisance Weed and Tall Grass Control By-Law (125-17) empowers the City to order a property owner(s) of residential, employment or commercial properties to rectify their building(s) and/or property, and to destroy nuisance weeds and tall grass. If the property owner(s) does not carry out the order, the City then has the authority to arrange for the repairs to be done. The City will charge back the cost of rectifying these deficiencies to the property owner(s) by attaching the cost to the property tax roll. The City of Mississauga is inviting qualified Bidders to respond to this Request for Tender in accordance with the enclosed Statement of Work (SOW). The scope of this contract is on a time and material basis and shall include the supply of all labour, equipment and material necessary to perform clean-up and/or miscellaneous work at various privately-owned locations throughout the City of Mississauga. The work to be carried out shall include the clean-up of private property, including but not limited to debris removal, minor repairs and boarding-up of unsecured buildings, including all work incidental thereto, and the destroying (cutting) of nuisance weeds and tall grass. The Contract with the Successful Bidder shall be for a term of two (2) years, commencing upon issuance of the City's Purchase Order or on the date otherwise indicated in such Purchase Order Contract(s) to Commence: January 1st, 2022 Documents are available at: https://mississauga.bidsandtenders.ca
