Site work and paving for a civil project in Arlington, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

The project includes abutment repairs to three bridges along the W&OD Trail in Arlington, VA. The Trail runs along Four Mile Run and crosses the run at several locations. Five percent bid bond or certified check is required for all bids over $500,000. All bids and bid bonds shall remain valid for ninety days. Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds shall be required of the successful bidder for all contracts awarded over $500,000. The Contractor will be allowed to start the project after January 1, 2021, and will be given 60 days to complete the work on Bridge #4. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids when such rejection is in the interest of the Authority, and will reject the bid of a bidder who is not a responsible bidder. The Contract will be awarded as soon as possible to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, provided its bid is reasonable and it is in the interest of the Authority to accept it. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received when such waiver is in the interest of the Authority; also to accept any item in the bid unless otherwise specified by the Authority. If the work is not completed within the time required, as that may be adjusted by change orders, there shall be imposed on the Contractor liquidated damages of $200. 00 per day for each day beyond the contract time it takes to complete the work.
