Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Athens, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Tutelow Creek Culvert Damage Repair and approximate 50 x 50 Embankment (GPS Latitude/Longitude: 41.96733 - 76.58818) Bid entails replacing a damaged 36 outlet and forming a spillway to suppress the velocity of water to Tutelow Creek that runs along private property. Building a temporary road to access damaged area, removing all downed trees, debris and tumbled concrete blocks; tier the bank slope for run off to the existing concrete block wall; excavating bank keys 8 into the bank at the top of the concrete blocks; install geotextile fabric; placement of R8 stackable rock to ensure uniform thickness from the keys up to 4 feet above the pipe outlet compacting to ensure no voids or slippage; remove the driveway and rebuild the shoulder of the road; seed and mulch any area that was disturbed as a result of the project; and clean up the entire area. Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the contract is required of all bidders. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, as well as proof of workers compensation insurance will be required from the lowest responsible bidder. All work and material must meet current Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the undersigned.
