Site work for a water / sewer project in Belmont, California. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of June 25, 2024, no building permits have been submitted. This project is with the City of Belmont's public works department. The architect has been identified and the identity of the general contractor remains unknown. A firm construction timeline has not been established; however, construction could begin in 2025. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ……………….. The City of Belmont Public Works Department is seeking to retain one qualified licensed professional firm to perform design, environmental compliance, and permitting services to execute a bid package for the Belmont Creek Restoration project. Qualified consultants shall have, for similar projects, demonstrated success in project management, biological and riparian habitat restoration, engineering design, hydraulic modeling, geotechnical engineering, bank stabilization, stream bed restoration, construction plans and specifications, preparing documentation to satisfy the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), securing environmental regulatory permits, and public outreach. The Belmont Creek Restoration project will help to alleviate downstream flooding and sedimentation, improve the health of Belmont Creek (Creek), return a portion of the creek to a more natural condition, allow for connection to a stormwater detention basin, and increase its stewardship by achieving the following goals: o Stabilize the Creek's banks and channel using existing vegetation, trees and state of the practice methods for bank stabilization and stream bed improvement. o Reduce the accumulation of sediment and debris downstream. o Improve water quality. o Construct portions of a diversion facility to route and clean polluted creek water through a future detention basin (Twin Pines Park Storm Water Detention Basin project- simultaneously released RFP) o Increase native riparian habitat. o Educate and engage the community in the Creek's stewardship. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
