Per the owner, as of January 27, 2023, an award has been made for this solicitation. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. The successful firm shall provide professional architectural and engineering design services for two (2) separate Border Protection Station (BPS) projects, in which one is located in Riverside County and the other located in San Bernardino County. The successful firm shall coordinate with Psomas, the civil engineering firm for both projects providing civil, exterior lighting and landscape design. LSA is the CEQA consultant working on the Blythe BPS. The environmental consultant for the Needles BPS which is not yet been determined. The services may include, but not limited to, reports, assessments, studies, preliminary plans, working drawings, cost estimates, bidding support, construction support & post construction support. The responsible party shall be an architectural firm licensed to practice in the State of California (CA) and all work shall be performed under and approved by a licensed design professional. Services shall include but are not limited to providing the following: Coordination with Civil and CEQA Consultants Attend meetings (design coordination, project status meeting, regulatory meetings) Discipline Coordination, quality control, quality assurance & project control Project schedule for Buildings Regulatory Agency Submittal for plan review and coordination (SFM, City of Blythe, DSA Structural & Access Compliance, BLM) Building Design, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinklers, fire alarm & commissioning Coordination & Selection of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) Site Electrical, including emergency generator and PV Solar Canopies Wind Screens Fire Code Analysis and Consultation Security, Low Voltage & Technologys assessment, study and design Provide consultation services for design and implementation of the following energy conservation programs: Zero Net Energy (ZNE), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED-NC Silver rating, local utility provider Savings by Design Program and Commissioning On-site construction monitoring of general contractors work for compliance and contract documents including punchlst for project closeout. Review Contractors As-builts on a monthly basis and update contract documents to reflect as-built conditions. The firm selected for this work and all sub-consultants are precluded from participating in the construction or other competitively bid contract work on this project. All work shall be performed under and approved by a design professional, or contractor, licensed in the State of California. The estimated cost of construction of each project is $53,000,000.00. The estimated duration of this contract for both of these projects is eight (8) years.
