Saving Project...

Site work for a mixed-use development in Imperial, California. Working plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.

CLOSED WITH NO AWARD Imperial Irrigation District (IID), an irrigation district established under Division 11 of the California Water Code, Sections 20500 et seq., provides non-potable water, farm drainage and power services to the lower southeastern portion of California desert. IID is requesting proposals from highly qualified Respondents to provide an engineering, procurement and construction solution for a utility scale Energy Storage System (ESS) to be wholly owned and operated by IID. Jose Perez thanked all the participants for participating on behalf of the IID. Conference call was adjourned at 9:48 a.m. PT This SRFP is open to all energy storage technologies provided they are commercially viable, as explained more fully herein, and meet the technical criteria set forth in this SRFP. The energy storage must be electrically interconnected within the IID electrical grid service territory balancing authority (BA), and separately metered from any other load or generation at the site. IID has identified three preferred sites to comprise the ESS project. Respondent may provide alternative sites and storage capacity per site. The IID as a BA is the responsible entity that among other things, maintains load-interchange-generation balance within its BA area, and supports Interconnection frequency in real time, and maintains load-resource balance (generation, transmission and load) within its metered boundary. More specifically, the ESS system is to provide load-serving capabilities to IID BA, mitigate fluctuations of existing and future generation, VAR support, spinning reserve, capacity and other operational benefits as further described in this solicitation. Only persons or firms possessing a current, valid type "A" California Contractor License California will be considered for this work. It is the intent of this solicitation to describe the required and desired features and performance requirements of the ESS and define the interconnection requirements to the IID electric system. No attempt has been made to describe all details of the intended design. It is the responsibility of the selected Contractor to define, design, engineer, and construct all aspects of the turnkey installation, including interface and protection modifications to the transmission system, whether or not specifically described in the specifications. Once the ESS system is successfully commissioned, the Contractor shall retain maintenance responsibility for the ESS until the Availability Guarantee is met, as described in the Technical Specifications, Attachment E. The ESS is intended to assist IID promote system capacity, support renewable energy requirements under the state of California's Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), meet procurement targets as identified in Assembly Bill (AB) 2514, and California renewable energy Act. Questions concerning this Secondary Request for Proposal should be directed in writing, no later than 5:00 p.m., Local Time, Thursday, December 2, 2021 to Mr. Marty P. Holbrook, purchasing agent, via email to: purchasing@iid.com. Responses to questions received will be provided digitally for download on our website www.iid.com, under this solicitation listing to all participants no later than 5:00 p.m., Local Time, Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
