The Contract Documents provide for the construction of Bid 9452 Timberline Pedestrian Underpass & Mail Creek Ditch Improvements. The Work consists of Installation of a new 10'x14' precast (or CIP (Cast In Place) box culvert for the Mail Creek Trail at Timberline Road. The removal of an existing 4'x8' box culvert with replacement of a new precast (or CIP) 4'x8' box culvert at the Mail Creek Ditch. This work includes demolition, shoring, supply/installation of prefabricated box culverts (or install CIP box culverts), earthwork, erosion control, underdrain system, waterline work, curb/gutter, sidewalks, asphalt pavement, pedestrian railings, form liners, electrical/ lighting, and traffic control. The work will need to be completed in the winter of 2021/22. This project will be funded with local funds. This project will require close coordination with a separately bid federally funded Timberline widening (Stetson Creek to Zephyr Road) project. Construction phasing plans will need to always maintain 2-way traffic on Timberline. Phasing requirements will need the contractor to complete construction on the east half of both structures first, then shift traffic onto the newly constructed east half, then lastly build the west half of both structures. Mail Creek Ditch Co. requires Mail Creek Ditch to be ready to receive irrigation water no later than April 15, 2022. Please see attached ITB document for submittal information.
