This project involves replacing the existing Street light Luminaires with new LED Luminaires, installing new conduit by Jacking or directional drilling method and installing new conductors, installing new electrical service cabinets, Pullboxes, electric service to SCE service point. The City will deduct five (5) percent (5%) retention from all progress payments. Bids must be prepared on the approved Proposal forms in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the City of Alhambra for an amount no less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code. The successful Contractor and his subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City. Prior to beginning work, the Contractor must possess a valid California Class A. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of sixty (60) calendar days. Total construction duration is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. Pre-Bid inquires shall be received in written form by the City contact no later than 4:00PM, on November 8, 2021.
