Renovation of a residential development in Alhambra, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade residential development.
Arizona & Olympic Family Public Housing Development Bathroom Upgrade Project Phase II located at 1003-1135 South Arizona Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90022. The scope of work for this project consists of renovations in eighteen (18) first floor bathrooms and two (2) laundry rooms on the first floor Type 'B' units. The contractor is to provide labor and materials to remove, dispose of and replace as specified the existing toilets, cabinets and green-board board behind cabinets, countertops, medicine cabinets, faucets, area lighting, exhaust fans, electrical receptacles and plates, switches and plates, doors, door hardware, bath hardware, GFCI's, mirrors, angle stops, flex supply lines, flooring and cove base. Wall and floor tiles in Type B units to be removed and replaced; floor to be regraded to floor drain. Caulking surrounding the bathtub shall be removed and replaced, existing showerhead cartridges are to be removed and replaced, and contractor is to install a rebuilt kit for the shower valve. New replacement flooring shall be water resistant laminate, 6.5mm thickness with (pad attached). Bathroom cabinets shall be WIC certificated with top mounted sinks. Bathroom walls are to be patched where necessary, primed and the entire room painted in a semi-gloss finish paint. Bidders shall guarantee their bid for a minimum of 270 calendar days. The laundry rooms will receive new sheet vinyl flooring, thresholds, hot and cold-water valves, GFCI outlets, new combination lights with exhaust fans, paint, and subfloor repair as needed as part of the replacement allowance. This is a HUD Section 3 Contract and all Bidders must commit to achieving Section 3 established requirements, including benchmarks for Section 3 workers and Targeted Section 3 workers to be considered a Section 3 responsive bidder and eligible for a contract award. In submitting a bid, each Bidder thereby agrees that, if awarded a contract, it shall execute a standard contract, a sample of which is attached to the IFB package for reference. The LACDA shall not award a contract to, or be obligated to execute a contract with, any Bidder who refuses to execute said standard LACDA contract. The LACDA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. This IFB is not a contract or commitment of any kind. The LACDA is not liable for costs incurred in the preparation of the respondent's bid. It reserves the right to issue supplementary information or guidelines related to this IFB. Notwithstanding any other provisions herein, the LACDA reserves the right in its sole discretion to waive minor technical deficiencies in the Bids.
