The project started on December 6th, and was finished on December 20th. The Work performed under this Contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, incidentals, and supervision for: Remove existing asphalt from top of levee, place 8 inches of Class II Aggregate Base, and pave new Type A HMA along the top of the levee. Each Bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided herein. Bids are required for the entirety of the work described herein. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to MLD, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to MLD, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the original Total Contract Price.
