Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mechanicville, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Contract No.1 - General Construction: Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of existing concrete sidewalks, asphalt pavement, curbing, handicap ramps, and select street trees; installation of new concrete sidewalks, asphalt pavement, curbing, handicap ramps, drainage structures and associated landscaping, signage, pavement striping, site amenities, erosion and sediment control, and maintenance and protection of traffic. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the City of Mechanicville prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. Funding for this project is through the New York State Department of State (DOS) and all contractors and subcontractors will be required to comply with all requirements thereto including a 10% MBE and 10% WBE utilization goal. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
