Maricopa County is soliciting bids from firms to provide construction services to the County for East Maricopa Floodway Low Flow Channel, located at Maricopa County, Arizona. The project will include the construction of a small concrete low flow channel within the grass lined East Maricopa Floodway (EMF) that was constructed in the 1980's. This segment of the EMF has an extremely low longitudinal slope, resulting in very low flow velocities and long-lasting ponding water and muddy bottom conditions. Also, complaints regarding mosquitos/vectors have been received from adjacent neighborhoods. The concrete low flow channel will eliminate most of the ponding and muddy conditions and facilitate sediment and debris removal from the EMF. The project is located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
