The bid bond or check of the accepted bidder shall be forfeited in the event said bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and/or fails to furnish the additional bonds required herein. Checks submitted in lieu of bid bonds from unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon request. The successful bidder must submit to Riverton City full performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Work cannot begin until bonds have been received by the City. Bonding costs must be included in bid price.
