This project primarily consists of installing approximately 7,500 linear feet of 16-inch PVC water main Engineer's estimate for this project is $5,980,000. All bidders and subcontractors on this project must be pre-qualified in the appropriate work category A cashier's check or an acceptable Bidder's Bond payable to the City of Arlington, Texas, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible total for the bid submitted, must accompany the bid. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required. The successful bidder shall also furnish to the City a Maintenance Bond covering defects of material and workmanship for two calendar years following the City's approval and acceptance of the construction. Not less than the prevailing wage rates adopted by the City of Arlington, Texas, and as set forth in the contract documents, must be paid on this project.
