The bidder acknowledges that this is a unit price contract; that unit prices established will remain in effect and valid throughout the duration of the contract; the quantities shown are estimated quantities for budgetary purposes only; the award of this contract does not guarantee contractor the entire work shown in this FORMAL INVITATION FOR BID (IFB); the City may order all, some, or none of the work shown in this IFB; and projects will be assigned as they become available. The City may elect to award this Project based solely on the base bid, based on a combination of the base bid plus any combination of selected alternates or based on a combination of the base bid plus all alternates. The determination will be made solely by the City after receipt of bids and will be made in the best interest of the City. If a respondent does not submit a bid for an alternate item or multiple alternate items, and after receipt of bids the City makes the determination to include the alternate(s) in the award, the respondent would not be eligible for award Questions are to be submitted in writing in the Questions and Answers through online DBE Good Faith Effort Plan (DBE From 1), Letter of Intent for Federally Funded Contracts (DBE Form 2), Change of Subcontractor/Suppliers on Federally Funded Contracts (DBE Form 3), and Bidder's List Collection Form (DBE/ACDBE Form 5) This is a Qualified Low Bid Solicitation. It is understood and agreed that the work is to be substantially completed on or before 118 calendar days. If alternate 1 is accepted 126 calendar days will be added to the total days. If alternate 2 is accepted 103 calendar days will be added to the total days. This project does not include hazardous environmental work. This project requires 2 project sign(s). This project will have funding from a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Grant. The award and subsequent issuance of Notice to Proceed for construction of this project are contingent upon the City's receipt of FAA funding. The award of a contract, if it is to be awarded, will be made within 120 calendar days of the date specified for the public bid opening.
