This Request for Pre-qualification process is intended to solicit responses from General Contractors interested in working on projects with York Region District School Board (YRDSB). This is a prequalification for General Contractors only, it is not for Construction Management Firms. If the Board has future projects that require a Construction Management Firm, a separate bid solicitation will be issued for that work. General Contractors who do not participate in this Pre-qualification process and who are not subsequently approved will be excluded from bid opportunities during the term of this Pre-qualification. The successful Applicants will be entering into a Pre-qualification term of three years. Pre-Qualification will ensure that successful firms will receive Requests for Tender, Requests for Quotation and Requests for Proposal for the period of January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024. There will be seven (7) CATEGORIES of construction projects, each of which will have a pre-qualified set of General Contractors. A Contractor may be pre-qualified in more than one category. In such cases, YRDSB reserves the right, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to limit the number of categories in which a Contractor is pre-qualified. Within the online Bidding System, you will have the opportunity to select the applicable categories you wish you apply for. Once you have selected your applicable categories, proponents must provide a list of similar projects for each category applied for.
