For Bob Hailey Dugout Roof Replacement Questions Deadline: 11/10/2021 at 4:00pm CT BMA Recommendation: 12/13/2021 The Successful Bidder shall be prohibited from discriminating against any individual due to his race, creed, color, national origin, age or sex. See attached Specifications, Bid Form, Drug and Alcohol Testing Acknowledgment Statement and Affidavit along with Company's Testing Policy, Iran Divestment Act and Vendor's Qualifications and Reference Form that must be returned a part of the Bid. Returning the form for disclosure of the Title VI and Title IX information is voluntary. The Standard Germantown Services and/or Products Contract and Required Insurance Certifications are included and will be required from the selected Bidder. Work will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to remove and dispose the existing dugout wood and shingled roof on an estimated amount of eight (8) dugouts and replace with new wood framing and architecturalroofing of either asphalt or metal on an ice and water shield. BASE BID 1 - ASPHALT ROOFING -All lumber should be pressure treated to resist decay, fungi, and insects - Lumber should be inspected before installation for structural and major esthetic flaws - Roofing material to be architectural asphalt shingle roofing appropriate to pitch - No screws/nails should extend through the deck boards underneath - Underlayment to be an ice and water shield - A drip edge to be installed around all edges to match the color of the roof BASE BID 2 - METAL ROOFING - All lumber should be pressure treated to resist decay, fungi, and insects - Lumber should be inspected before installation for structural and major esthetic flaws - Roof metal to be standing seam in forest green color (Should match the dugout roofs at Cameron Brown Baseball Complex 8628 Farmington Boulevard) -No screws should extend through the deck boards underneath - All metal decking to be screwed with standard deck screws and rubber washers - A finishing trim to be installed around the edges to match the color of the roof - Lad spacing shall be no greater than 24" apart 1. Work will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to remove and dispose the existing dugout wood and shingled roof on 8 dugouts and replace with new wood framing and metal roof 2. Existing galvanized pole shall be used to fasten load bearing supports with 3/8" carriage head bolts 3. Banding boards and load bearing rafters should be 2"x8" while support rafters shall be 2"x6" 4. Rafter spacing shall be no greater than 16" apart 5. Simpson Strong Tie Joist Hangers shall be placed on rafter ends 6. Lad spacing shall be no greater than 24" apart 7. Any damage that was created by the contractor to streets, parking lot, landscape and walking trails should be repaired back to the previous condition Bid Result.
