Renovation of a fire / police facility in Beverly Hills, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This is the prequalification in order to bid on the Police Department Dispatch UPS Replacement Project. The scope of work includes the installation of two new 60kVA UPS units to serve Dispatch function at the Police Facility. The existing 20-year old 50kVA UPS is being replaced, and a second UPS is being installed in a new area as a backup. The second UPS, UPS-2, will be supplied from the existing 600kW generator. In addition to the new UPS units, the electrical panel boards installed in the Dispatch Area Server room will be upgraded to provide redundant sources for rack mounted IT server and switch equipment. The mechanical cooling system for the existing UPS room will be upgraded, and a new cooling system will be provided for the new UPS room as part of this project. This project also includes the construction of a new room for UPS-2. There will be a maximum of three power outages, and each power outage is limited to no more than two (2) hours. The electrical contractor will be the prime contractor and shall subcontract with appropriate contractors for a complete project delivery.
