As of February 10, 2022, this project was awarded to Material Handling Exchange for $143,560.06. Guilford County Schools (GCS) is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide a full turnkey installation of a completed Warehouse Racking system. Written questions shall be emailed to Shayla Parker parkers3@gcsnc.com by 12:00 PM EST,Monday, January 31, 2022. Vendors will enter "IFB # 6450 Questions" as the subject for the email. There is no pre-bid for this project. Company to provide Installation and Freight cost along with any anchors and supports for racking. The manufactured weight limit on rack arms will be sufficient for what we are storing in warehouse. Business need to be able to work with warehouse personnel in moving inventory to safe area's for installing of racks. Please provide time frame work will begin and finish. Project must be completed within 45 work days from the day the bid is awarded/Purchase Order received by awarded vendor. Drawing on next page.... 136 each 48" x 16' Uprights 648 each 144" Beams 972 each Wire Decking o Company shall provide turnkey full Installation of completed racking system. o Total cost shall include Material, Freight, and Labor to support rack installation. o The racking system shall be installed with permanent anchoring system to prevent any lateral/vertical shift to occur. o The racking system shall be designed to withstand a minimum load of 5,000 pound per each shelf. o If applicable, the Company shall obtain a racking permit from City of Greensboro as part of the racking system installation. o The Company shall coordinate with Owner during racking installation to move existing inventory to safe areas for installation of racks. o Company shall carry all appropriate insurance for the work that is being done on premises. o As part of the bid, provide detail schedule of the racking installation system from expected start date and finish. An expedited schedule is a factor for consideration for successful bid. o Attached is the drawing depicting racking system location but subject to finalization. o 12-foot section is base bid. 8-foot section is acceptable alternate design. Include any potential cost saving options with "New" versus "Used" racks. Please see attached table
