As of 3/18/2022, per the owner this project has been awarded to Maxim Construction for around $900,000. Construction Began February 28, 2022 and is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2022. Renovations to the existing building, two story building addition, new ADA restrooms, Design-Build Plumbing, Design-Build HVAC, Design-Build Electrical. Prevailing wages apply. All bidders are required to view the existing conditions at the site before submitting a bid. Additional site visits can be arranged, if required. Prime Bidders' proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in the form included with the bidding documents. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The surety shall name as payee the Washington County Historical Society. Notice is hereby given that the Washington County Historical Society - Research & Education Center - Renovations & Addition - Project No. LS 18-16, 19-09, 20-10 for which construction proposals are being solicited hereby is a construction project funded by LSA Grants and is subject to applicable Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and other applicable Acts. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities, defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, or irregularities in proposals, to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof and to make awards as may be deemed in its best interest.
