Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Hinesville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 5,373-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of January 3, 2021. The project has not been awarded and no specific time frame for award has been determined at this time. PROJECT NO. 20061 Project No. 09-21-20-1 Project Location: 220 West Washington Avenue, Hinesville, GA 31313. Project consists of new construction of a single-story office building and its required site development. The Hinesville Business Incubator is a 5,373 square foot, business occupancy located at 220 West Washington Avenue, Hinesville, GA. The facility is Type IIB construction type and consists of load bearing masonry supporting steel bar joists. Exterior walls are a combination of cavity wall construction with Brick veneer and Cast Stone accents as well as direct applied Stucco. All infrastructure including but not limited to plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems are included. 1. Site work will be provided by the Owner's Contractor and will include the development of the entire .72 acre site with supporting parking, utilities, stormwater management, and landscaping. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contractor (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1. Bid Bond to be made payable to the Owner. 2. The Contract provides that the surety and insurance companies must be acceptable to the Owner. Only those sureties listed in the Department of Treasury's Listing of Approved Sureties (Department Circular 570) are acceptable to the Owner. All bonds at the time of issuance must be issued by a company authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact the business of suretyship in the State of Georgia, and shall have a Best Policyholders Rating of "A-" or better and with a financial size rating of Class V or larger Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. 1. Bidders are required to complete the AIA A305 Contractor's Qualifications Statement Form. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. 1. Anticipated notice to proceed no later than to be January 31, 2022. 2. Substantial Completion shall be reached within 240 calendar days. 3. Liquidated damages amount: $ 500.00 Per calendar day.
